Construction Planning and Control - 17.5 hours (CPD)

This course equips participants with the knowledge and understanding of a range of contemporary project planning and management techniques with specific reference to construction projects.

The goal of the presentation is NOT to elaborate the detailed Construction Reading but to educate the BC residential builders and trade people of the fundamentals of construction drawings and how to work effectively for best outcomes.

 -   Explain the role of planning in managing construction projects under different configuration of contracts, organization and delivery methods-        Analyze and break down the scopes if a construction project
-  Quality the scope of a construction activity in terms if the amount of work, duration, and cost-        Develop construction schedule networks with feasible sequencing between the activities
-  Apply the critical path method to calculate the times and floats of schedule activities
-  Develop resource-constrained schedules that maintain the daily resource needs within the projects constraints
-  Develop liner schedules of repetitive construction projects for improved resource usage-        Analyze the project schedule and budgetary risks using stochastic methods
-  Modify and optimize construction schedules considering the time-cost tradeoff’
-  Estimate the cash flow of a construction project
-  Estimate the status of a construction project using integrated time-cost control methods
