Fairness and Justice: Why Rules Matter

This course introduces young teens to the important ideas of fairness, justice, and the role of rules in everyday life. Through relatable examples from school, family, friendships, and communities, students will explore why rules exist and how they help people live together peacefully. The course encourages students to think about fairness, understand different perspectives, and learn how responsible choices contribute to a just environment. By discussing real-life situations and reflecting on their own experiences, students will develop empathy, respect for others, and a stronger sense of personal responsibility. The course also helps teens recognize that rules are not only restrictions but tools that protect people, solve conflicts, and create opportunities for everyone to be treated fairly. By the end of the course, students will gain practical skills for making fair decisions, resolving disagreements respectfully, and contributing positively to their communities.
